“Sponsor” of this Award is AuditBoard, Inc. a Delaware corporation located at 12900 Park Plaza Dr., Suite 200, Cerritos, CA 90703
“Award Program” is AuditBoard’s The Connector Awards, which recognizes the outstanding achievements of Sponsor’s customers. Award Program winners shall be selected based on the criteria set forth in these Terms and Conditions.
“Entrant” is any customer entity that submits an Award Program entry.
How to Enter. To enter the Award Program, during the Award Program Period (as defined below) you must visit The Connector Awards page, follow the on-screen instructions (the “Instructions”), and provide the requested information (collectively, the “Entry” or the “Entries”). For all award categories, Entries to the Award Program must be submitted by an authorized employee of the Entrant, and the Entrant must own the content submitted in the Entry. Multiple entries from the same Entrant may be submitted for consideration in up to five (5) total Categories (which such Categories are outlined below). ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE URL PROVIDED ABOVE; DO NOT POST ENTRIES ELSEWHERE ONLINE OR SEND SPONSOR A LINK TO AN ENTRY. All requested entry information must be provided. Entries must be made from an authorized employee’s company email address. By submitting an Entry, both the employee submitting the Entry (the “Submitter”) and the Entrant agree that the terms of AuditBoard’s Privacy Policy shall apply. In the event of an ongoing dispute as to the identity of any Entrant and/or Submitter, Sponsor has the right to make a determination as to all Entrants and Submitters in its sole discretion.
Eligibility. The Award Program is only open to existing customers of AuditBoard, Inc. as of the start of the Awards Program who are registered and validly formed businesses in (i) the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, (ii) the United Kingdom, or (iii) Canada (excluding Quebec). The Award Program is not open to consumers. Void outside of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, the United Kingdom, and Canada, and where prohibited or restricted by law. Customers that are not operating within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, or the United Kingdom, or Canada are not eligible to enter. All federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply. Entries must be in the English language. All Entrants must comply with the applicable laws, decrees, regulations and guidelines of the United States, and Sponsor will have no obligation to change or modify any of the Official Rules, except as is otherwise provided in these Terms and Conditions.
All Submitters must be at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. Improperly submitted or incomplete entries are ineligible for consideration. Sponsor reserves the right to change the name of the Award Program or reject any Entry for any reason.
Competition Period. This Award Program begins at 9 AM U.S. Pacific Time (“PT”) on April 10, 2025 for all Global entries and will remain open until 5:00 PM U.S. Pacific Time (“PT”) on May 22, 2025 unless otherwise noted on The Connector Awards page (the “Award Program Period”). All entries must be received during the dates and times specified in the Award Program Period.
Award Program Categories. All Entries must be submitted for one of the following categories (the “Categories”):

Their use of AI, AuditBoard Analytics, integrations, and other innovative tools has redefined best practices and set new standards for success. 1 grand prize - described below Category 2: Excellence in Action Award This award recognizes customers who have demonstrated substantial business impact through their use of AuditBoard. From increased operational efficiency to significant business growth, these customers have showcased the power of leveraging AuditBoard to meet and exceed their goals. Their ability to achieve key milestones, improve business performance, and expand operations is a testament to the platform’s role in their success. 1 grand prize - described below Category 3: Bridge Builders Award This award highlights customers who have excelled at integrating AuditBoard into their organization, driving cross-team collaboration, and scalability. These customers have demonstrated how AuditBoard empowers risk, audit, and compliance teams to work as one, breaking down silos and enabling more effective decision-making. Their use of AuditBoard’s connected risk platform ensures that their operations are future-ready, and they have harnessed its full potential to manage risk across their organization. 1 grand prize - described below Category 4: Cyber GRC Trailblazer The Cyber GRC Trailblazer Award recognizes forward-thinking organizations and Entrant who are driving innovation in IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). This annual award celebrates companies that leverage cutting-edge technology, automation, and AI to enhance security, streamline compliance, and drive insights that help inform business strategy. The Cyber GRC Trailblazers Award highlights the pioneers shaping the future of risk and compliance. These organizations demonstrate measurable impact, operational excellence, and strategic vision in advancing GRC practices. 1 grand prize - described below Category 5: Agent of Change Award This award recognizes an exceptional Entrant who has strategically championed the use of AuditBoard to drive meaningful change within their organization and the broader industry. While not necessarily involved in the day-to-day use of the platform, they witness the impact AuditBoard has had on their organization and champion their team's use of it. This individual is a true thought leader who not only influences their team, but also works to elevate the role of audit, risk, and InfoSec through their leadership and vision. They inspire others to embrace new ways of working, empowering their teams to drive transformation, and are recognized within the community for their contributions to the industry. 1 grand prize - described below Entry Guidelines. By entering, each Entrant and Submitter agrees that its Entry conforms to the following Guidelines, and that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may remove any Entry and disqualify an Entrant from the Award Program if it believes, in its sole discretion, that the Entrant’s Entry fails to conform to the Guidelines.
- Entries must showcase results achieved through the use of one or more AuditBoard products.
- Entries must be original, exclusively created and owned by Entrant, and/or Entrant must have all rights necessary to submit the Entry. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions in this regard.
- Entries must be complete and include an Entrant’s profile, universal category questions, and category-specific entry details, and must be received during the Award Program Period.
- The Submitter must be an authorized representative of Entrant, and must have obtained Entrant’s permission to submit an Entry and participate in this Award Program as a representative of Entrant. Sponsor reserves the right at any time to require written proof of the Submitter’s authorization.
No Entry may contain:
- Nudity, lewd, or vulgar behavior;
- Material that, in any manner Sponsor determines in its sole discretion, violates or infringes another's rights, including, but not limited to privacy, publicity, confidential information or intellectual property rights, including, but not limited to copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret infringement or other proprietary right of any party;
- Any material that Entrant does not own and/or has not obtained all rights necessary to use, submit and participate in this Award Program, subject to these Terms and Conditions;
- Material that is hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous, deemed inappropriate or obscene;
- Material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
- Material that is unlawful, in violation of, or contrary to the laws or regulations in the United States, the United Kingdom and/or any jurisdiction where the innovation or product is created or planned for distribution;
- Any material including malware, spyware, viruses, worms, malicious code and any and all other code, instructions or components that are deceptive, malicious, harmful or designed to interfere with, breach, harm or limit the functionality or security of any product, service, network, or other system or technology of Sponsor or any other party; or
- Material that disparages Sponsor or any other person or entity relating to the Award Program, or any third party.
- Submitters and Entrants agree to AuditBoard’s Privacy Policy.
Judging Criteria: Winner Selection. Eligible Entries will be reviewed by an AuditBoard judging panel (the “Panel”) including an outside industry analyst.
Each category will be evaluated using three to four rubric scoring items on a scale of 1 to 5 (the “Criteria”):
- Limited Evidence: No clear demonstration or minimal use/impact.
- Some Progress: Early-stage use or moderate effort with limited results.
- Meets Expectations: Solid execution with clear outcomes and aligned use of AuditBoard.
- Strong Execution: Above-average use, strategic impact, and strong results.
- Exceptional Achievement: Outstanding, innovative use with measurable, high-value impact.
Winning a Category in the Award Program is dependent on the quality and number of entries received and skill in satisfying the Criteria. Decisions made by the Panel are final.
Prizes. In each Category, one (1) grand prize winner will receive:
- A trophy;
- Conference passes only for two (2) people to attend Audit & Beyond in San Diego on October 21-23, 2025;
- Recognition of their winning category during Audit & Beyond in October 2025.
The judging process will take place between May 23, 2025 – June 26, 2025 and Winners will be notified no later than August 1, 2025 of their selection via email to the address provided in the submission. Winners will be awarded their Prize(s) no later than September 1, 2025, provided that they respond to their award email notification with required information. Attendance at the Audit & Beyond conference is not necessary to win. Winners will be included in a keynote presentation during the conference in San Diego on October 21-23, 2025.
Approximate retail value of each prize is $4,430 USD. The prizes will be distributed to the Submitter, and it is the responsibility of those submitting an Entry on behalf of an Entrant to obtain permission to receive such prizes in their individual capacity (provided, however that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may transfer any prize to another individual at the Entrant company, at the request of such Entrant). Sponsor may withhold prizes if it reasonably believes such submitting individual has not obtained adequate permission from their company to receive such prizes. An Entrant will not be eligible to receive any prize if receipt of such prize would result in legal or regulatory issues, or require Sponsor to register with or otherwise pay fees to a state or governmental authority. Total approximate retail value of all prizes combined: $4,430 USD. Prizes are non-transferable except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the case of unavailability of any prize, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Sponsor is not responsible for any travel or incidentals that may arise in connection with Winner’s enjoyment of the Prize. Travel and accommodations shall be the sole responsibility of Winner.
Conditions of Participation. By submitting an Entry for this Award Program, Entrants and Submitters agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and any decision Sponsor makes regarding this Award Program, which Sponsor shall make in its sole discretion.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ENTRANTS, SUBMITTERS AND WINNERS AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, AND ITS ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONS AGENCIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENT COMPANIES, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, PARTNERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS (COLLECTIVELY, “RELEASED PARTIES”), FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, FOR LOSS, HARM, DAMAGE, INJURY, COST OR EXPENSE WHATSOEVER INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR DEATH WHICH MAY OCCUR IN CONNECTION WITH, PREPARATION FOR, TRAVEL TO, OR PARTICIPATION IN THE AWARD PROGRAM, OR POSSESSION, ACCEPTANCE AND/OR USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY AWARD PROGRAM -RELATED ACTIVITY AND FOR ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, INVASION OF PRIVACY, COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT, TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT OR ANY OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY-RELATED CAUSE OF ACTION. NOTHING IN THESE AUDITBOARD THE CONNECTOR AWARDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS LIMITS OR EXCLUDES LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, OR FOR FRAUD.
Entrant and Submitter acknowledge and agree that participation in this Award Program and Sponsor’s activities in and relating to this Award Program are not and do not create any confidential, fiduciary, employment, agency or other special relationship between Entrant and Submitter on one hand and Sponsor on the other hand. For the avoidance of doubt, Entrant and Submitter further affirmatively consent to Sponsor’s right, in its sole discretion, to use, without compensation, Entrant’s and Entrant’s employees’ (including Submitter) name, image, voice, likeness, statements, photograph, picture, biographical information, Award Program Entry and other information about Entrant and Entrant’s employees (including Submitter) for advertising and promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Further, Submitters and Entrants hereby permit AuditBoard to publicize their company (including by using the name and logo/branding of Entrant), the submission/entry and contents thereof (in whole or in part) as a finalist or winner on the AuditBoard Awards website, the AuditBoard blog, other company-owned marketing communication channels, and with the press and shall provide confirmation that such notice is approved by their respective companies if required (email is sufficient).
Sponsor is not responsible if Award Program cannot take place or if any Prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, Winner unavailability, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism.
Any attempted form of entry other than as set forth above is prohibited; no automatic, programmed; robotic or similar means of entry are permitted. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this Award Program should (in its sole discretion) virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Award Program. In such case, Sponsor may select the winners from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Award Program or Award Program website. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Award Program or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Award Program by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE AWARD PROGRAM MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Disclaimer, Release and Limit of Liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SPONSOR MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING ANY PRIZE OR ENTRANT’S AND SUBMITTER’S PARTICIPATION IN THE AWARD PROGRAM.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR: (1) ANY INCORRECT OR INACCURATE INFORMATION, WHETHER CAUSED BY ENTRANTS, OR BY ANY OF THE EQUIPMENT OR PROGRAMMING ASSOCIATED WITH OR UTILIZED IN THE PROMOTION; (2) TECHNICAL FAILURES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO MALFUNCTIONS, INTERRUPTIONS, OR DISCONNECTIONS IN NETWORK HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE; (3) UNAUTHORIZED HUMAN INTERVENTION IN ANY PART OF THE ENTRY PROCESS OR THE PROMOTION; (4) TECHNICAL OR HUMAN ERROR WHICH MAY OCCUR IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROMOTION OR THE PROCESSING OF ENTRIES; OR (5) ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY WHICH MAY BE CAUSED, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION OR RECEIPT OR USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE.
Privacy and Use of Personal Information. Sponsor collects personal information and/or information about Entrants and their employees from you when you enter this Award Program. Sponsor reserves the right to use any information collected in accordance with its privacy policy, which may be found at https://www.auditboard.com/privacy-notice/.
Tax.
11.1 FOR US PERSONS: IF THE VALUE OF THE PRIZE AWARDED IS GREATER THAN $600 THE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE PRIZE AMOUNT WILL BE REPORTED ON IRS FORM 1099-MISC AND ISSUED TO THE RECIPIENT. TAX IDENTITY INFORMATION WILL BE COLLECTED BY COMPLETING IRS FORM W-9. FOR NON-US PERSONS, THE FAIR MARKET VALUE, CASH EQUIVALENT AND TAXES PAID RELATING TO PRIZES AWARDED ARE SUBJECT TO IRS FORM 1042-S REPORTING. TAX IDENTITY INFORMATION WILL BE COLLECTED BY COMPLETING IRS FORM W-8. IN ADDITION, THERE MAY BE ADDITIONAL OR EQUIVALENT TAX FORMS REQUIRED TO BE ISSUED BASED ON THE WINNER’S COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.
11.2 FOR UK PERSONS: EACH SUBMITTER AND ENTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES AND ACCEPTS, AND MUST ENSURE THAT ANY INDIVIDUAL NOMINATED TO RECEIVE A PRIZE ACKNOWLEDGES AND ACCEPTS, THAT: (I) THERE MAY BE TAX CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM THE AWARD OF THE PRIZE; AND (II) THE SUBMITTER, THE ENTRANT AND ANY INDIVIDUAL NOMINATED TO RECEIVE A PRIZE ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPORTING AND PAYMENT OF ALL TAXES (IF ANY) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE DISTRIBUTION AND RECEIPT OF THE PRIZE. IF NECESSARY, PLEASE CONSULT A TAX ADVISER FOR FURTHER ADVICE.
Each winning entrant shall be solely responsible for payment of any and all applicable federal, state, provincial and local taxes for the prizes won and customs clearance fees, if any. Each winner may also be required to sign and return certain tax documentation. Where applicable, the Sponsor may require winners to provide additional tax information, as required by law.
Governing Law and Disputes. THESE AUDITBOARD THE CONNECTOR AWARDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND THE AWARDS ARE GOVERNED BY, AND WILL BE CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH, THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AND THE FORUM AND VENUE FOR ANY DISPUTE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL BE IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. IF THE CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM IS NOT OTHERWISE RESOLVED THROUGH DIRECT DISCUSSIONS OR MEDIATION, IT SHALL THEN BE RESOLVED BY FINAL AND BINDING ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY JUDICIAL ARBITRATION AND MEDIATION SERVICES, INC., IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS STREAMLINED ARBITRATION RULES AND PROCEDURES OR SUBSEQUENT VERSIONS THEREOF (“JAMS RULES”). THE JAMS RULES FOR SELECTION OF AN ARBITRATOR SHALL BE FOLLOWED, EXCEPT THAT THE ARBITRATOR SHALL BE EXPERIENCED AND LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN CALIFORNIA. ANY SUCH CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM WILL BE ARBITRATED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND WILL NOT BE CONSOLIDATED IN ANY ARBITRATION WITH ANY CLAIM OR CONTROVERSY OF ANY OTHER PARTY. ALL PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT PURSUANT TO THIS PARAGRAPH WILL BE CONDUCTED IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES. THE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL DAMAGES, AND IN NO EVENT SHALL ANY PARTY BE ENTITLED TO RECOVER PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES OR OTHER SUCH RELATED COSTS OF BRINGING A CLAIM, OR TO RESCIND THIS AGREEMENT OR SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR ANY OTHER EQUITABLE RELIEF.
